Dogs Trust:
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity. Through our network of 18 Rehoming Centres across the UK, we care for over 16,000 stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs each year. We promise never to put a healthy dog to sleep, and are working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
Dogs Trust staff work tirelessly to ensure that each and every dog in our Rehoming Centres receives the very best care and attention, and is given every chance of finding a happy and loving home for life. Through a careful and thorough homechecking system, we endeavour to ensure that a dog and his new owners are the perfect match.
As suggested by our famous slogan, ‘A Dog is for Life, Not Just for Christmas®’, Dogs Trust is dedicated to promoting the message of responsible dog ownership. We actively campaign to reduce the number of stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs by promoting neutering and microchipping, and we invest in programmes in schools to educate the dog owners of tomorrow.
Dogs Trust is a registered charity. We receive no government funding, and rely solely on the generosity of our supporters to carry out our work.
