DOGS TRUST HONOURS 2012
Dogs Trust is thrilled to announce the finalists of the 2012 Dogs Trust Honours, revealing heroic and heart-warming stories from all over the country.
Now in its fifth year, Dogs Trust Honours is the awards ceremony that celebrates the relationship between man and dog. Throughout March and April the public nominated those dogs and humans they think deserve recognition for their dedication or bravery.

The judging panel includes famous dog lovers Deborah Meaden, Richard Caring, Paul Ross, Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford, Ben de Lisi, Dawn Porter, and Dogs Trust CEO Clarissa Baldwin now has the hard task of choosing the overall winners.
The 2012 Dogs Trust Honours award categories are:
Hero Dog Award
The award for dogs that perform amazing acts of bravery or courageous feats. This will recognise both a pet dog and a service dog (including but not restricted to police, armed forces, or Search & Rescue)

Dogged Devotion Award
This category recognises pet dogs that provide emotional or medical support to their owners by acting as canine lifelines.

Media Mutt Award
For dogs that have appeared in the media, on TV or within a film. Nominate those dogs that have made the headlines or appeared on the small or silver screen in the last 12 months.
Comedy Canines Award
Has your dog done something outrageous? Have they embarrassed you with their naughty antics? If you have a hilarious or unbelievable story to tell about your dog, or footage of your comedy canine in action this is the category for you.
Dog’s Best Friend Award
Recognising adults and children who make a big difference to the lives of dogs. Young or old, these people are dedicated to dogs and go the extra mile to help the nation’s canine companions.
